1M and 1D have been busy learning about Canada, poppies, peace and the importance of Remembrance Day. It was special to learn about many students’ relatives who participated in previous wars and who continue to serve our country. Un coquelicot pour se souvenir.

The French Immersion students of 4B got creative in the classroom this Halloween by incorporating pumpkins into their learning experiences! In a combined Francais/Math lesson, they worked with partners, practising estimation and measurement of pumpkins’ weight, circumference, and seed count. In Science, they observed their ‘mad scientist’ teacher, Mme. Bodnarus perform a chemical reaction experiment which resulted in a jack-o-lantern frothing at the mouth. Happy Halloween!
